Project: Over 12 months, project managed a team of 4 web developers, 1 interface designer, 1 database specialist, 1 systems administrator, and 15 content writers to re-design and launch one of Boston College’s graduate school websites, The Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry (IREPM).

Results: Provided a more efficient, readable and usable information resource for prospective and current students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends.

• Assisted Boston College IREPM in the definition of requirements for a Phase I and II website re-design (250 pages)
• Created a Project Plan and Project Requirements Document
• Managed iterative design process which included project sponsor, UI Designer, multiple content providers and end users
• Created Wireframes, Design Mockups (UI) and Sitemap
• Managed development process, trained 4 web developers (Dreamweaver, BC Content Management System)
• Recommended and implemented a shopping cart for graduate course viewing, selection and registration
• Recommended resource funding for a permanent department web manager and part-time web developer/graphics specialist, this funding was granted and resources were allocated
• Trained the newly assigned department web manager (Dreamweaver, BC Content Management System)
• Created a Web Management Manual

Project: Provided Usability Review of the Boston College Institute of Religious Education and Pastoral Ministry public website.

Results: The Institute was given a detailed list of recommended usability improvements.

• Created user profiles and task analysis tests for 3 unique user groups (current students, prospective students & alumni)
• Self-conducted these task analysis tests and recorded the results using a checklist, scoring system and notes
• Created usability heuristic checklist from the established literature
• Self-conducted the heuristic review and recorded the results using a checklist, scoring system and notes
• Provided summary of the 2 tests, detailed test results, and recommendations for the client
